Missing Pieces
03.24.07I found a quote today by Albert Einstein…didn’t grab it though, but he said it was solitude that stimulates the creative mind. I now understand why I have not been able to post like I used to back in Korea. There is an utter lack of solitude here. There is no rest for my mind cuz its always work. I tend to turn my mind off and just go on autopilot most of the day. It gets me in trouble from time to time, but I just don’t care anymore. Until I am sitting in this field…I will be running on auto pilot till my term ends.

Geez…maybe this post was a mistake….it got freakin quiet in here….hello? Hello?? Ah crap I think they all left. Shucks….what a bad idea this turned out to be.

LOL! Sorry SF — been really swamped here… haven’t ahd time to put together many coherant thoughts. (adn you know how rare it is for me to have a coherant thought at all, to begin with!:lol:)
I know exactly what you mean - my life is pretty solitude-less too, and it drives me batty. I have my own office now, but need to build a DOOR, LOL, to shut out the rest of the world while I’m in there, lol!!!!!!!
I have the attention span of a gnat and can’t concentrate or write well if there’s even a little bit of noise or distraction.
My life is FILLED iwth noise & distraction! ACK!:???::roll::lol:

We’re still out here bouncing around!

And I’m not EVEN touching that comment about Kat’s coherent thoughts!!

I know what you mean about not having that solitude. In my hectic college life, I miss it quite often. Fortunately, I’m a night owl and get the quiet time I need in the wee hours. Sadly, I must sacrifice much-needed sleep for this, but I do what I have to.
And I didn’t leave, but I didn’t quite know what to say the first time I read it. I guess I hadn’t thought about it much. Do we need to build you a padded room to get away from it all?

Oh man…I wouldn’t know what to do with all that solitude I’d get in a padded room! But maybe it’s just that medication I need, hahaha!! Whoops…not tryin to give anyone ideas er nuthin. heh heh. *Nervously glances around room for Men In Black to jump out and snatch me up to take me away*
Yah…only way I’ve been able to find any peace is just askin God for some of that “Piece of Mind”. But I tell you what, there ‘aint nuthin better’n havin’ a nice spot in the woods all to yourself to sit and listen to the wind in the bows, or sittin on a lake enjoyin a nice cool breeze and a lil sun to really make you feel relaxed.

I hear ya, there SF! One of my favorites is sitting on the porch on a summer night, listening to the crickets & the bullfrogs.
Something very soothing about all that.

ooops, hit “post” too soon - forgot to include this.
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Ooo, I miss the froggies! Reminds me of home. You may have too many meds to choose from, so be careful how you word that, SF.
