Gray Hair Is Sexy These Days
09.25.08So maybe I’ll be better off in the long run what with all the stress I fail to manage here.
I can’t tell you how split I am about this whole getting out of the Army thing. On one hand I can’t wait to pick up those freedom’s I laid down when I joined, but at the same time I can’t help but be worried about walking out of a steady job into our nations “Financial Crisis.” What am I walking into?
Being that I joined the Army only a year after high school with no college experience, I can’t say I’ve been there before so I know how to handle the whole fiscal responsibility thing, cuz I honestly don’t know how to fully take care of all that stuff.
I am going from having absolutely everything handed to me or set up for me to absolute uncertainty. No free medical/dental. No three square meals a day. No pay issues taken care of by an entire battalion. No travel planned by someone else. No more room and board with free water and electricity. I’m pretty much dropping all kinds of free stuff and walking into a massive bill. It’s gonna be intense. But whats killin me right now…is just bracing for that.
I have a very destructive history of reading into things and I wonder if I’m reading into this too much, or if I’m not reading into enough, like I should be doing more or something. It’s a sick dichotomy of wanting something so badly and fearing it immensely at the same time. I think I’m just screwed. But I’ve got my good ole blog here that’ll give me a shoulder to cry on when it all goes down the tubes.
Ah yes…good ole PTB. You’ll always be there for me. Unless my damned hosting service decides they don’t like me anymore.

Ah, it’s not too bad. You should get a nice hefty check to tide you over for a while.
Any desire to go into law enforcement?
I had three jobs after I got out and before I went back to school. Two were short lived.
There’s always vagrancy.

I work at Cracker Barrel, and we’re always looking for new employees… and my brother pulls power lines in Southeast Texas, so you can always move down here and get a job.
And we can get beer after work!!
