Yeeah…About That
09.10.08So I’m going through the ACAP process and I’m getting all this great education that’s really helping to put me back into the mentality of how the world really works…and despite the fact that this is an essential transition process, it’s sill viewed as a cop out…reason # 23349 why I won’t reenlist: Common Sense does not exist here…
So I just finished up a resume that I am pretty pleased with. But then I looked over at the CPT’s resume next to me and I automatically felt like I should just go apply at McDonald’s or something when I get home.
We had a couple business recruiters stop in and just tell us about some openings. In my opinion, just being able to have a class gather and have the recruiters walk in and list off openings is an AWESOME way to help out veterans. What a great way to fill those positions with trained individuals who have been doing that job for however many years? It’s a great benefit to both the businesses and the veterans themselves. I’m going through this class with a friend of mine and he was actually offered the EXACT job that he was lookin’ for. It was just nice hearing the recruiters get excited every time he had someone speak up with the exact skills he was lookin’ for. Good to know that this whole process really benefits some people.
It’s early…my mind’s not fully functional so this post is rather jumbled, but that’s what I like about this site. I get to type how I want. Oh joy.
Oh hey! So lemme tell ya about last night’s “Dinner Adventure”! I was sittin there chowin’ on my Ramen noodles when I get this weird idea. So I get up, walk to the fridge, and pull out the ketchup. IT WAS AWESOME! End of story…

My grandfather used to love mustard on his pancakes so I think my tastes might be inherited.
