This plate took 9mm, and two different loads of 7.62mm. The smaller 7.62 coming from the AK-47 and the larger coming from a fully automatic PKC.

That's good protection. What's it made of, and how heavy are they?

It's steel......that's about all I know. Hahaha! But they only weigh about 3/4 of a pound which is sweet compared to the 2 lb ceramic shit we wear which can actually be penetrated by PKC fire.
